Lou Nuer Community-USA's Funds Raised in 2010.

Dear Lou Nuer Community,
First and foremost, it is the privilege of Lou Nuer Elected Team in the USA, lead by its Chairperson, Simon Deng Key to thank and congratulate the entire Lou Nuer Community-USA: Women, Youth, and Elders members for their commitments and enthusiasms they have shown so far by driving in the long distances to attended those two fundraising events. Your hard work and participation towards our community activities would reward you unknowingly in its entirety.
Secondly, the Lou Nuer Community-USA also would like to extend its sincerest thanks to the rest of Nuer Communities, (Jikany, Fan-Gak, & Bentiu) for your participation in both the June 5th & September 4th fund raising events.
With your participation, we were able to surpass our year goal of $15,000 and collected nearly $17,000 ($12,000 and $5,000 respectively). These collected development funds will benefit Lou Nuer Community back home by targeting the most needed designed community projects such as community centers, children’s clubs and adult education centers throughout Lou Nuerland. This will go a long way towards promoting literacy and making reading materials more easily accessible in our community.
Your community’s participation in those two fund raising events was instrumental in surpassing our goal. It is our pleasure and honor to thank you for your generous efforts.
